When her family was killed in Dersim, she was 5 years old. EmoÅŸ who has been
survived the massacre by chance is taken from Dersim by a military offi cer who took
part in the operation. 75 years later she begins a journey back to her roots with her
daughter. She fi nds her village and the genocide place; in the meantime she meets
her cousin survived the massacre. The relationship between two cousins, one of
them is a Turkish-Sunni woman and the other is a Kurdish-Alawite, their questionings, judgements, longing and the departure… While Emoş starts a journey to the distant past that had to be repressed on the part of her daughter, the paths of her and the soldiers who took part in the massacre across again in the fi lm without touching each other due to overlapping between what is told in their confession by the soldiers and what witnessed and told by her.
