Where the fi lm tells about the changes concerning sea, human, and fi sh by starting
out from the work named “Fish and Fishing in Turkey” published in Ottoman Turkish in 1915 by Karekin Deveciyan, the manager of the Istanbul fi sh market, it also refl ects how we, from rich seas and a rich sea culture to today, ended up in the campaigns ‘No small fi sh means no big fi sh, either, May Istanbul not sigh for bluefish. The Fish of Bosphorus is a documentary fi lm, which tries to observe the changes in Istanbul and Istanbulites by looking from sea perspective.
