Silent History: Hasankeyf

Berkay Kuyzu - Elodie Eda Moreau, Türkiye/Turkey, 2012, 22’

Önemli bir yerleşim yeri olan Hasankeyf, doğayla iç içe yaşamış çeşitli kültürlerin mirasını günümüze sessizce aktarmaktadır. Dicle Nehri üzerine kurulması planlanan Ilısu barajıyla bu miras ve Hasankeyf sular altında bırakılmak üzeredir. Güney Doğu Projesi’nin (GAP) son adımı olarak, Dicle Nehri’nin ana kolu üzerinde yapılması planlanan ilk baraj projesi olan Ilısu, Hasankeyf ve çevresinde barınan onbinlerce insan içinde sonlanmayan bir zorunlu göç sarmalını ortaya çıkartıyor. Şu an göçe zorlananlar, nesillerini sürdürmek için geçim mücadelesi veren ve gelecek kuşaklara kültürel mirasını aktarmak isteyen ve baraj hayaletinin gölgesinde, ‘toplu konutlar’ ile yertsiz yurtsuzlaşma tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya kalan Hasankeyf insanıdır. Hasankeyf’in sessiz tarihini Hasankeyflilerden dinlemek, geçmişle bağlantılarını, bugünkü hissiyatlarını ve yarınla ilgili düşüncelerini, endişelerini onların sözleriyle aktarmak istedik.

Hasankeyf is an important historical settlement which transmits quietly the heritage of various cultures that have lived nested in nature there.
